Seskab Teddy Has Been Promoted From Major To Lieutenant Colonel

The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Agus Subiyanto, has promoted Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya from the rank of major to lieutenant colonel. Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana, the Head of the Army Information Service, confirmed Teddy's promotion. "I would like to inform the media that this information is accurate and complies with the applicable regulations in the TNI and legal foundations (presidential regulations). All administrative requirements have also been met," Wahyu stated in a text message on Thursday (March 6, 2025), as reported by Antara. Teddy's appointment is documented in Order Number Sprin/674/II/2025, which Wahyu has verified.

The order outlines five points that justify Teddy's promotion:

1. TNI Commander Regulation Number 53 of 2017 regarding the Use of Indonesian National Army Personnel.

2. TNI Commander Regulation Number 87 of 2022 concerning the Third Amendment to TNI Commander Regulation Number 50 of 2015 on the Rank of Indonesian National Army Personnel.

3. TNI Commander Decision Number Kep/238/II/2025 dated February 25, 2025, regarding the Regular Acceleration Promotion (KPRP) from Major Teddy to Lieutenant Colonel, on behalf of Major Inf Teddy Indra Wijaya, S.S.T.Han., M.Si. NRP 11110010020489, Cabinet Secretary.

4. Army Chief Regulation Number 21 of 2019 on the Rank of Indonesian National Army Personnel.

5. Army Chief Decision Number Kep/462/VIII/2021 dated August 4, 2021, regarding Technical Guidelines for the Career Development of TNI AD Officers, and 6. Considerations from Army Leadership.

Teddy is known as an officer in the Indonesian Army who has been appointed as Cabinet Secretary in the Merah Putih Cabinet. Previously, he served as an aide to President Prabowo Subianto when he was the Minister of Defense and has also been an assistant aide to President Joko Widodo.
