The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) released the results of the 2024 Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI) on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. The national integrity index for 2024 is 71.53, an increase from 70.97 in 2023. "So, ladies and gentlemen, to reiterate, the SPI has risen from below 70 to 71," said KPK's Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring, Pahala Nainggolan, during the SPI 2024 launch at the Red and White Building in Jakarta. Pahala noted that the national SPI score falls into the yellow category (caution) at the lower end, indicating significant work ahead for improvements. "So, nationally, we are currently at the lower yellow level," he stated.
Pahala also mentioned that KPK collaborated with 41 State Universities (PTN) for the implementation and analysis of the SPI results. Additionally, KPK involved 641 institutions, including 94 Ministries/Agencies, 545 Local Governments, and 2 State-Owned Enterprises. A total of 601,453 respondents were surveyed. "The survey process began with Ministries/Agencies/Local Government sending population data, followed by respondent sampling, sending questionnaire links via WhatsApp and email, and then filling out the questionnaire," he explained.
In the SPI results, KPK categorized ministries, non-ministerial agencies, and local governments based on budget size and employee count, marked as large, medium, and small. The categories were further divided into three: red (vulnerable), yellow (caution), and green (secure).
