The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) held the inauguration of three new members for the 2024-2029 term from the National Awakening Party (PKB). One of the newly sworn-in members is Anissh Syakur from East Java II, who replaces Faisol Riza, now the Deputy Minister of Industry. Additionally, Muhammad Hilman Mufidi from East Java II takes over for Mohammad Irsyad Yusuf, and Muhammad Khozin replaces Achmad Ghufron Shirodj from East Java IV.
Irsyad and Ghufron had previously raised concerns about their dismissal from PKB, which led to their removal from the list of elected DPR members. Although they were inaugurated as DPR members on October 1, 2024, they are now replaced by Hilman and Khozin through the interim replacement process.
The inauguration of these three DPR members was led by DPR RI Chair Puan Maharani at the Nusantara II Building in Jakarta on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Also present were Deputy Chairpersons Adies Kadir, Cucun Ahmad Stamsurijal, and Saan Mustopa. Puan congratulated the new members, wishing them to uphold their responsibilities and strengthen the constitutional duties of the council.
