The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Bakrie, announced that they will help establish 100 Nutritional Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) or free nutritious meal kitchens (MBG) by August 2025. This initiative aims to support the government's goal of increasing the number of MBG kitchens. "The government has set a target of 11,000, aiming to reach 30,000 MBG kitchens, now called SPPG," Anin stated at the JCC in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, March 14, 2025. "Our task is to focus on creating up to 100 SPPG before August 17. We will identify any challenges and communicate them," he explained. Anin mentioned that he has met with the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, to discuss the addition of SPPG. Dadan has expressed openness to allowing Kadin members to assist in establishing SPPG.
However, Anin reminded that if Kadin members wish to set up SPPG, they must maintain proper administrative procedures due to the connection with the state budget (APBN). "Recently, the Head of the National Nutrition Agency visited Kadin. We had a discussion, and he was very open. So, I encourage everyone here to proceed, but please ensure the administration is organized, as this involves the APBN," he emphasized.
Previously, it was reported that the government had disbursed a budget of IDR 710.5 billion for the MBG program as of March 12, 2025. This program has reached over 2 million beneficiaries. "As of March 12, the budget disbursement has reached IDR 710.5 billion, and according to reports, it has benefited more than 2 million people," said Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara during a press conference on the APBN KiTa March 2025 edition in Jakarta on Thursday, March 13, 2025, as reported by Antara.
