School Holiday For Eid Has Been Officially Moved Up To March 21 - April 8

The government has officially moved the school holiday schedule for the upcoming Idul Fitri celebration to March 21 - April 8, 2025, instead of starting on March 24, 2025. This decision was announced by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Pratikno, after a Ministerial Meeting at the Coordinating Ministry on Wednesday (March 5, 2025). "Initially, the school and madrasah holiday was set to begin on March 24, but after a revision, it has been advanced to March 21. Schools will resume on April 9, 2025," Pratikno stated on Wednesday afternoon. This change aims to reduce congestion during the Idul Fitri travel period. "With a longer holiday period, we hope to prevent overcrowding during peak travel times," he added.

Additionally, this policy aligns with the Flexible Working Arrangement (FWA) for Civil Servants (ASN), as outlined in Circular Letter No. 2 of 2025 from the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform. ASN will be allowed to work flexibly from March 24 to March 27, 2025. "A circular has been issued by the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform stating that the Flexible Working Arrangement will be in effect from March 24 to March 27, 2025. This is the Flexible Working Arrangement for ASN," he explained.
