The Government And The Parliament Have Agreed On The Hajj Cost For 2025, Which Will Be 55.4 Million Rupiah

The Hajj Working Committee (Panja) of the DPR and the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) have agreed on the costs for the Hajj pilgrimage for the year 1446 H or 2025 M. They decided that the cost for each Hajj pilgrim in 2025 will be Rp 55,431,750.78. This agreement was made during a meeting between Commission VIII of the DPR and Kemenag at the DPR building in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (January 6, 2025). "The cost for the Hajj pilgrimage, or Bipih, paid directly by each pilgrim is Rp 55,431,750.78, which is 62 percent of the total Hajj cost for 1446 H or 2025 M," said Abdul Wachid, the Chairman of the Hajj Panja.

Abdul mentioned that pilgrims for 2025 can pay their Bipih through a virtual account. "The total cost for the Hajj pilgrimage in 1446 H/2025 M is Rp 89,410,258.79," he added. Earlier, the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organizing (PHU) at Kemenag, Hilman Latief, proposed that the Bipih for 2025 should be set at Rp 55.5 million. This proposal is lower than the previous suggestion of Rp 65 million made by the government to the DPR. Hilman presented this during the meeting with Commission VIII of the DPR at the DPR building in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (January 6, 2025). "Ladies and gentlemen, based on the assumptions mentioned, the government proposes that the Bipih for 1446 Hijriah or 2025 should be Rp 55,593,201.57," said Hilman.
