Ifan Seventeen is now recognized not only as a musician but also as a significant figure in the film industry. The lead singer of the band Seventeen has been appointed as the CEO of PT Produksi Film Negara (PFN). This decision has sparked a lot of curiosity among people, raising the question: how did this happen?
According to Putri Viola, a spokesperson for the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Ifan's appointment as CEO was not random. A key reason for this choice is his experience as a film producer, even though he is primarily known as a musician.
"Ifan's career extends beyond music. He has experience as a producer, which we hope will bring new developments to PFN," Putri stated during a meeting at the Ministry's office in Jakarta on March 12, 2025.
Despite his fame in music, Ifan has been involved in the film industry for a long time, which gives the Ministry confidence that he can introduce fresh ideas to PFN.
Another reason for Ifan's appointment is the Ministry's desire to provide opportunities for young leaders.
"We hope to see a young leader in this role, so we are giving him the chance to be CEO. We will evaluate his creativity, experience, background, and the innovations he can bring to PFN," Putri added.
While there are no specific tasks assigned to Ifan yet, the Ministry is optimistic that his presence will lead to positive changes at PFN.
"We will wait for Ifan and the other directors to prove themselves, and we will definitely support them," Putri concluded.
Detikpop has attempted to reach Ifan Seventeen for comments on this news, but he has not yet responded.
Notably, Ifan Seventeen has acted in the film Sukep: The Movie, playing himself, and in Melukis Harapan di Langit India, where he portrayed Bruce Lee.
In the film "Kemarin," which tells the story of the tsunami tragedy that affected his bandmates, Ifan plays himself. He is also credited as a producer in the movie.
