Investment and Downstream Minister Rosan Roeslani announced that the Ministry of Investment will implement budget efficiency by prioritizing virtual work. He stated that the ministry must innovate to ensure that budget cuts do not hinder its performance in meeting investment targets. "We have specific targets, and with this budget efficiency, we need to be more innovative in our tasks. We can achieve this through virtual approaches," Rosan said at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (February 6, 2024). He mentioned that the Ministry of Investment's expenditures will also be reorganized due to budget cuts, including adjustments to business travel.
However, he emphasized that budget reductions will not affect the public services provided by the Ministry of Investment. "Naturally, we will adjust our business travel. What’s most important is that the public services we prioritize continue to run smoothly," Rosan added. The former chairman of Kadin claimed that employees at the Ministry of Investment remain motivated despite the budget cuts. "I have communicated with all employees at the Ministry of Investment, and we are still very enthusiastic. Our work ethic must remain strong," he stated.
