Retno Marsudi Is Now Officially An Independent Commissioner At PT Vale Indonesia

The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) has officially appointed Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi as an Independent Commissioner of Vale Indonesia. This decision is effective from the closing of the EGMS until the closing of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) in 2027, as stated in Vale's official announcement on Tuesday (January 14, 2025). Retno Marsudi replaces Raden Sukhyar, who has been respectfully dismissed from his position as Independent Commissioner.

During the EGMS held in the Jasmine Room, Soehanna Hall, The Energy Building, Jakarta, shareholders granted Raden Sukhyar a release from responsibility for his performance during his tenure, as long as his actions were in line with the company's official reports and records. The Board of Directors and the Board of Commissioners of PT Vale expressed their appreciation for Raden Sukhyar's contributions and dedication during his service, noting that his presence significantly added value to the company's development.

Retno Marsudi, who previously served as Indonesia's Minister of Foreign Affairs for two terms, is expected to bring new experience and perspectives to support good corporate governance at PT Vale. This appointment also strengthens the company's strategic role in the national mining and energy industry.
