Unilever Indonesia Introduces New Board Of Directors, Check Out Their Profiles

Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) announced changes in its board of directors during an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) held on Tuesday (January 14, 2025). The President Director of Unilever Indonesia, Benjie Yap, stated that the EGMS approved the appointment of Alejandro Meinardo Jr Santos Concha, Vandana Suri, and Neeraj Lal as new directors of the company. "On behalf of the company, we thank Hernie Raharja, Ainul Yaqin, and Vivek Agarwal for their outstanding contributions during their tenure," Benjie said in an official statement.

New Roles for Former Directors Benjie explained that two former directors, Vivek Agarwal and Ainul Yaqin, will take on strategic positions in Unilever's global management team. Vivek will lead Southeast Asia Portfolio Development, while Ainul will manage digital marketing transformation for personal care in Asia. Hernie Raharja has chosen to pursue opportunities outside of Unilever. "This decision reflects our commitment to continue building a sustainable and innovative business in Indonesia," Benjie added.

Profiles of New Directors 1. Alejandro Meinardo Jr Santos Concha With over 30 years of experience in sales and general management, Alejandro has served in Unilever Philippines, Myanmar, and Indonesia. Since August 2024, he has been the VP of Customer Development (Sales) in Indonesia. 2. Vandana Suri Vandana is known as a marketing leader with over 20 years of experience. She successfully led the global rebranding of Pond's in 2023 and previously served as the Global Brand Vice President for Pond's. 3. Neeraj Lal With 22 years of experience, including 17 years at Unilever, Neeraj has played a key role in various markets such as the US and China. Before his appointment, he was responsible for Global Finance and Procurement Operations at Unilever.
